Texitle street art by Agata Oleksiak

Artist Olek created a piece in New Delhi, India for an art festival.
Olek chose a night shelter for homeless women and with the help of a full team of volunteers and organizers she transformed the corrugated metal structure into a colorful crochet installation inspired by basic Indian Iconography such as the elephant, the butterfly and flowers. Speaking about the project Olek said: "It felt like I gave birth to an oversize baby without any pain killers. I had to pull the black magic to make it happen. Physically and emotionally drained. Was it worth it? Absolutely YES."
