Icarus by AEC

A massive mural on the side of a building in Mexico City.
Entitled “Icarus”, the Ukrainian muralist spent a few days up high to create this gigantic rendition of a modern day Icarus. The tale that inspired AEC tells the story of Icarus, the son of Daedalus who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete within the walls of his own invention, the Labyrinth. The piece shows a business man and his suit case falling down the abyss of Capitalism. A modern day tale by the talented Ukrainian artist painted in his traditional illustrative style.
